Annual Stomp Out Violence March & Grief Support Event
Every year, on Memorial Day, IDYD rallies hundreds of men and women of all ages and ethnic groups for a peaceful march, raising awareness of the loss and trauma caused by violence. More than just an opportunity to share in cadence, this annual event is an opportunity for healing, awareness, violence prevention, and community building.
The March begins with a rally, which welcomes presentations from civic leaders, law enforcement, IDYD leaders, volunteers, program participants, and more. Guests enjoy live music and food provided by local vendors – all this absolutely free!
Sponsorship helps to offset the costs incurred to have the rally with no charge to the community. Additionally, funds help to underwrite the ongoing programs and initiatives that IDYD offers to children and families throughout the year.
